WHAT'S TO KNOW ?
BIRTHPLACE
Daede was born and raised in Western Nebraska where vast plains and eternal sky ruled his perception of the world. As he grew up, Daede and Andrea, his mother, travelled frequently to break that barrier of "small town kid" into a matured, adventurous kid. Daede still loves his home, there really isn't anything quite like it. The silence consumes him as he enters a pasture where everything's still. Despite Daede's adoration for home, he loves exploring new sights and collecting additional experiences into his home life. Through his open scope, Andrea introduced him to dance which led to a complex and undoubted commitment for the art form.

EDUCATION
Daede began dancing at 11 years old and attended a few studios until his high school graduation. He was introduced to dance at Western Nebraska Ballet School, discovered his love of dance at Tabor Dance Academy, and honed his skills with Michelle Latimer Dance Academy. Throughout this seven year span he practiced ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, musical theater and improvisation.

Since spring of 2020, Daede has committed to a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance with Boston Conservatory at Berklee. He has expanded his vocabulary during college being introduced to modern techniques including Horton, Limón, Graham, Taylor, as well as multiple forms of African dance, and choreography.
PERFORMANCES AND CREATIONS
During his time in the Conservatory, Daede has performed in every MainStage show produced by the institution. This includes 'From the Ground up', 'WinterWorks', and 'Limitless' from fall '20 - spring '23. He has had the opportunity to work beside the RUBBERBAND director, Victor Quijada in reconstructing his work 'Enter Woven'. In the summer of '22, Daede performed Jennifer Archibald's world premiere at KCon, the world's largest celebration of K-Pop music and culture at Crypto.com Arena (previously known as Staples Center). For the Conservatory's '23 Limitless production, Daede was chosen as an original cast member of Aszure Barton's world premiere of 'Ellipsis'. In Limitless 2024, he was casted for Aszure Barton's reconstruction of'LIFT' set on Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Along with performing, Daede has produced choreography. For WinterWorks '22 and '23, he debuted 'CALL IT WHAT IT IS' and 'RETURN THE FAVOR', respectively. Both pieces explored a vital relationship of dance to music and the mending of movement styles. Daede wants to visualize the music within his choreography and emphasizes the importance of pleasure for his cast and audience members alike. In April '23, he collaborated with composer Haoyu Zhao in creating an interdisciplinary conversation between song and dance. Through this process, Haoyu and Daede responded to each other's progress which resulted in an experimental, witty, call-and-response relationship of dancer-to-dancer and instrument-to-instrument. For the Senior Composition Showcase in December '23, Daede put on 'WHO'S FEELING NICE?'. His first 10 minute piece including a cast of sixteen dancers following the influence of the music. A piece prioritizing effervescence, nostalgia, and seizing joy in the moment.
